My partner has a pacemaker. His doctor recently gave him beta-blockers for his blood pressure. I didn’t think people with a pacemaker should have these.

It’s true that beta-blockers aren’t the best choice of drug for some patients with certain underlying heart conditions and certain kinds of pacemaker. It’s possible that his doctor overlooked his pacemaker when he chose a drug for his blood pressure. But it’s equally possible that beta-blockers are OK for him. Ask the GP for peace of mind.
